Call for COVID-19 Volunteers

Join our COVID-19 team this summer and make a difference. Represent Affirmations Community Center and help educate the Community-at-large about COVID-19!

Requirements Include:

– Passion for serving the LGBTQIA+ community

– Interest in increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates

– Having knowledgeable conversations about various services offered at the Center

– Transportation to events (Fuel reimbursements are covered)

This is your opportunity to learn about risk communication, COVID-19, and to travel across the state to make a larger impact with the Center!

Please note that Volunteer Opportunities will be on a first come first serve basis.

HIV/STI Testing Appointments

For HIV testing appointments with Unified, please click here or visit https://miunified.org/Home to schedule a session.

To schedule an appointment for HIV testing with Matrix Human Services on Wednesdays, between 4 to 7 pm, please call 1-888-226-6366.

To schedule an appointment for HIV/STI testing with Oakland County Health Division on the second Friday of every month, between 10 am to 2 pm, please email Cloutiers@oakgov.com.

Food Assistance

In need of food right now? No Problem! Affirmations has a certain amount of grant dollars for Instacart food orders, up to $75 per order! To place your order or to donate gently used winter clothing, please email care@goaffirmations.org or call 248.398.7105.
