Long-Term Volunteering

Stick Around And Support Affirmations
As an integral part of the Affirmations team, long-term volunteers keep our center running and ensure every person that comes through our doors feels embraced and included.
Long-term volunteers serve as a friendly first stop for visitors at our center’s front desk by:
● Answering essential questions about our center and services
● Offering a listening ear to visitors who just need to talk
● Connecting people with resources to meet their unique needs, from health care to legal aid
● Helping us showcase the center and its rich history
We respect your time, so our long-term volunteers have a consistent schedule, working at least one four-hour shift per month.
Steps to Become a Long-Term Volunteer
1. Apply
First, complete our short volunteer application to let us know who you are and how you’re interested in supporting Affirmations.
Good to Know
Applications are accepted during specific times throughout the year so new volunteers can take part in an essential volunteer orientation.
2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation
New volunteers are required to take part in a full-day, in-person training and onboarding that covers crucial information about your role, our center, and our community.
