Queer-Friendly Personalized Resource Planning
Our compassionate and skilled resource staff can work with you to create a personalized resource plan that fits your unique needs. From basics like food and shelter to long-term planning toward mental and physical wellness, Affirmations can help you get on a path toward success and fulfillment.
Members of the LGBTQ+ community face discrimination and other challenges that can make navigating systems and processes feel hopeless. We’ve got your back with our trained staff and network of resource providers to help you make connections and overcome barriers. You don’t have to go it alone.
Who is this for?
Please note: There is a two- to four-week waiting period to meet with our care manager. For immediate help, use our Resource Guide to find support, or call 2-1-1 to speak with a specialist.
What services are provided?
Affirmations’ full-time care manager meets one-on-one with clients facing unique and persistent challenges related to housing, food, clothing, income, transportation, or lack of access to vital resources. Appointments can be one-time or ongoing in monthly increments for follow-up as needed.
What does it cost?
Thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors, there is no cost for our personalized resource planning services.

I’m a Personalized Resource Planner with a background in child and family development. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families access local, affirming resources that support their goals and well-being. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered—focused on meeting people where they are and helping them feel empowered in the process. In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, making music, and walking my dog.
Lindsay Warren
she/her/hers
I’m a Personalized Resource Planner dedicated to helping individuals connect with local, affirming resources that support their unique needs. I work with people ages 13 and up, offering compassionate, collaborative guidance with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, focusing on empowerment, accessibility, and inclusion. Outside of my work, I enjoy walking my dog, going to concerts, reading with my book club, and volunteering with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
How do I sign up?
When you’re ready to sign up for personalized resource planning, contact us. Our staff will follow up to schedule an appointment.
Please note: At this time, personalized resource planning is limited to current mental health counseling clients receiving therapy through Affirmations.
