Garden Assembly | Affirmations Spring Fundraiser

You are invited to be part of the Garden Assembly, a gathering of community members who believe in showing up for one another and nurturing the spaces where we all grow.

At the Garden Assembly, we realign with our purpose and remember that when we water seeds, our community blooms. This fairy garden–themed afternoon will be filled with moments of beauty, rest, and connection.

Guests will enjoy a full brunch and beverages, wellness experiences, and inspiring performances in a setting designed to help us slow down, connect, and recharge together. This elevated fundraiser supports Affirmations’ therapy services and trauma-informed care initiatives, prioritizing the mental health and physical wellness of LGBTQ+ adults and youth across Metro Detroit.

Event Attire

Garden Party, Fairy Garden, Midnight Garden — or simply whatever makes you feel your best.

Flowing fabrics, florals, soft colors, whimsical accessories, crowns, wings, lace, linen, or a little sparkle are all welcome. Whether you lean toward enchanted garden, elegant evening, or something entirely your own, this is a space to show up feeling comfortable and radiant.

Ultimately, wear whatever you feel most confident and comfortable in.

Giving Circles

While the Garden Assembly is a fundraiser, it also highlights a community-centered approach to giving. Giving circles allow small groups of people to come together and make a meaningful investment in Affirmations and in our shared community.

Through contributions typically ranging from $300–$500, guests participate in a collective act of care that helps sustain Affirmations’ work in an efficient, thoughtful, and responsible way. By gathering smaller groups of committed supporters, we are able to direct resources where they matter most: supporting therapy services, trauma-informed care, and the everyday spaces where our community gathers, heals, and grows.
