Step right up to the first ever Affirmations’ Family Fun Fest – a celebration crafted for individuals of all ages! Whether you’re attending solo, with your child(ren), your chosen family, or friends, this event promises a delightful experience for everyone.

An afternoon filled with prizes, food, refreshing drinks, fun games & activities like drag queen story time and face painting, and queer happiness awaits!

All Fun & Games

Come immerse yourself and your family in a day of exciting activities.Throughout our entire center, you will find something to bring out your creative or competitive nature. We have both, free and ticketed options.

Entry into the event is FREE. We have both free and ticketed options for a wide mix of activities. Tickets are 2 for $1.

All proceeds from ticket sales go towards our programs and resources.

Free Activities

Reading with Royalty

For visitors that want a calmer ambience or who just love story time, talented performers from our community will be reading children’s books throughout the day. Readings will begin every hour as follows– 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm

Face Painting

Get into the festive spirit by taking part in the classic staple of face painting! We will have a face painting station with a specialized sanitation process and hypoallergenic materials.

Arts & Crafts

Visit our youth room to partake in relaxing crafts and coloring. Take your masterpiece home as a souvenir of the fun-filled day.

Balloon Station

Connect with our volunteers as they welcome you and your little ones with complimentary balloons.

Cinema Lounge

Are you a friend of Judy’s? Take a breather from all the excitement in a space dedicated to lounging and watching the iconic The Wizard of Oz.

Ticketed Activities

Playing games and winning prizes is a great time but knowing that your participation helps keep our center running makes the joy even greater! Tickets will be available at our front entrance (details above).

Small Business Fun

Affirmations prides itself on highlighting small businesses and artists whenever possible. We are collaborating with Abby’s Caricatures for an added dimension of whimsy and art to the fair. Abby, a metro-Detroit artist, has drawn more than 250 people. They will be donating part of their proceeds to Affirmations.

Cost is $15 per portrait

($10 will be added for every additional person included in the same drawing)
