Become A Board or Committee Member!

Affirmations is seeking candidates interested in serving on its board of directors. If you feel committed and passionate about Affirmations’ mission–to provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and cultures can find support and unconditional acceptance, and where they can learn, grow, socialize, and feel safe – we encourage you to apply.

Aff Board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and organizational governance. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities, board members must be active advocates and ambassadors for the organization, fully engaged in identifying and securing financial resources and partnerships, and committed to social justice and equity to advance Affirmations’ mission.

This call is open to all, but the board is specifically interested in applicants with expertise in human resources, legal, facilities, and communications.

Affirmations is also seeking candidates to serve as members of working committees within the center. We currently have open seats on our finance, communications/development, and governance committees. For more information on specific committee positions, please click the button.
